CHARACTERISTICS

Sinopec Semi-refined Paraffin is derived from oil-containing wax by sweating or solvent deoiling, and then by clay refining or hydrofining. Semi-refined paraffin is a slab-like white solid with large output and wide use.

Its relative density increases with the increase of melting point. The product has good chemical stability, moderate oil content, good moisture-proof and insulation properties, and good plasticity. The candle produced by semi-refined paraffin has concentrated flame, smokeless and tearless.

The oil content of Sinopec Semi-refined Paraffin is less than or equal to 2.0%, its refining degree is less than that of fully refined paraffin, and the color of semi-refined paraffin is also darker than that of fully refined paraffin.

LABORATORY

Paraffin detection is mainly separated into industrial paraffin detection and food paraffin detection. WJWAX has a professional paraffin testing laboratory, which can provide a paraffin Certificate of Analysis (COA) for different types and different uses of paraffin products according to relevant national testing standards, industrial testing standards, and testing method standards.

FAQ

What is the difference between fully refined paraffin and semi-refined paraffin?

Fully refined paraffin wax is based on oil-containing wax, refined to the maximum oil content of 0.8%, and hydrotreated to produce pure white wax suitable for many food-grade and cosmetics applications. FR paraffin is a chemical mainly composed of normal and branched hydrocarbons. These waxes can be used to produce high-quality candles, shoe polish, and explosive emulsions. FR paraffin is also used as a mixed component of sheet coating, laminated wax, "cold" hot melt adhesive and paper packaging, and paper coating. FR paraffin for industrial and food contact applications.

Semi-refined paraffin wax is made from oil-containing wax by deoiling the wax until the oil content is between 0.8% and 2.0%. These waxes are usually further refined by bleaching or hydrotreating to improve the color and smell of the wax. SR paraffin wax is very suitable for candles (which are almost the same as those made of FR paraffin), floor polish, and building board lotion manufacturing.
